Who is Dave Vucina?

Dave Vucina, a

veteran executive in the wireless communications sector, charts the

corporate direction of Wayport. Since becoming CEO in September 2000,

he has developed a strategic business plan designed to implement

innovative business models that are unparalled in the broadband

industry. Under Dave's leadership, Wayport has outlined a long term

vertical market strategy that encompasses retail, healthcare,

hospitality, managed services and others. His vision for Wayport also

helped define Wi-Fi roaming standards, becoming the first in the

industry to offer open roaming access.Dave

came to Wayport from ProNet, Inc. where he served as president and

chief operating officer. At ProNet, he negotiated the largest merger in

the paging industry and increased revenues from $6 million to $130

million. He was a finalist for ERNST YOUNG'S 2004 Austin Entrepreneur

of the Year Award and was named by BusinessWeek in 2002 as one of the

25 most influential personalities in ebusiness.
