Who was David Garnsey?
David Arthur Garnsey was the 5th Bishop of Gippsland from 1959 until 1974.
Educated at the University of Sydney and New College, Oxford, he was ordained in 1935. His first post was as a Curate at the University Church of St Mary the Virgin, Oxford. From 1941 he was Rector of Young, New South Wales and later headmaster of Canberra Grammar School.
