Who is David Blood?
Prior to co-founding Generation, David servedas the co-CEO and CEO of Goldman SachsAsset Management from 1999 to 2003. Hisresponsibilities included all aspects of the globalbusiness including portfolio management, salesand client service, risk management andinfrastructure (approximately 1600 people and$325 billion in assets under management). From1985 to 1999, David served in various positionsat Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. including Head ofEuropean Asset Management, Head ofInternational Operations, Technology andFinance, Treasurer of the Goldman SachsGroup, L.P. and Head of Global Private CapitalMarkets. He was also a member of thePartnership Committee and the EuropeanManagement Committee. David was the firstrecipient of the John L. Weinberg Award in1990, an award given to a professional in theinvestment banking division who best typifiesGoldman Sachs’ core values.David received a B.A from Hamilton College inClinton, N.Y. and an MBA from the HarvardGraduate School of Business. He is a memberof the Board of Trustees of The Acumen Fundand SHINE
