Who was David Fleming, Lord Fleming?

David Pinkerton Fleming, Lord Fleming MC was a Scottish politician and judge.

He was educated at Glasgow High School, the University of Edinburgh and University of Glasgow, and was called to the Scottish Bar in 1902. He was on active service with the Cameronians during World War I, for which he was awarded the Military Cross and the Belgian Croix de Guerre. He took silk in 1921.

He served as Solicitor General for Scotland from 1922–1923 and from 1924–1926, and was Unionist Member of Parliament for Dunbartonshire from 1924 to 1926.

He was appointed to the Court of Session bench on 19 December 1925, with the judicial title Lord Fleming. He was appointed an Honorary Bencher of Middle Temple in 1940.
