Who is David Roediger?

David R. Roediger is an American Kendrick C. Babcock Professor of History at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Beginning in the fall of 2014, he will be the Foundation Distinguished Professor of American Studies and History at Kansas University. His research interests include the construction of racial identity, class structures, labor studies, and the history of American radicalism. He writes from a Marxist theoretical framework.
