Who is David Waddington, Baron Waddington?

David Charles Waddington, Baron Waddington, GCVO, DL, QC, PC, is a British politician. A member of the Conservative Party, he served as a Member of Parliament in the House of Commons from 1968 to 1990, and was then made a life peer. He was the government Chief Whip from 1986 to 1989, and served in the Cabinet as Home Secretary from 1989 to 1990 and Leader of the House of Lords from 1990 to 1992. He then served as the Governor of Bermuda from 1992 to 1997.
