Who was Davide Lazzeretti?

Davide Lazzaretti was the leader of the Giusdavidic Church in Italy. Killed in a clash with the Carabinieri.

There is a controversy as many key-lectures have been proposed.

On the dynamics between a charismatic leader and the cultic group Di Fiorino has quoted the story of David Lazzaretti, well studied by the psychiatric literature. The dramatic climax is related to the suggestive power of the Messianic prophecy. After a wait of 3 days, David can not defer more than the fulfilment of the prophecy which announced, and, driven by the expectations it has aroused, goes in procession to meet his destiny. Jean-François Mayer, one of the most famous historians of "new" religious minorities, wrote about the importance of an integrative vision of researchers from different perespectives.
