Who is Dean Kay?

From the Rock Revolution to the Digital Revolution Dean Kay has successfully participated in the music industry and an entertainer, recording artist, songwriter, music publishing executive, mentor, innovator, speaker and defender of creator's rights.

Dean began his professional career as a featured entertainer on the five day a week daytime Tennessee Ernie Ford Show from San Francisco.

Hank and Dean recorded for both Del-fi Records and RCA Victor.

As a songwriter he provided songs for many top recording artists, including THAT'S LIFE for Frank Sinatra.

For 18 years he ran Lawrence Welk's music publishing companies which he developed into one of the leading independent music publishing companies of it time. He then became President/CEO of PolyGram International Publishing. Today, he is utilizing the ever expanding array of technological tools to enhance opportunities for his current roster of talented creators which he promotes under the banner of his own music publishing operation, Demi Music Corp.

Along the way he has been the chief caretaker of the creative treasures of a diverse group of musical geniuses including Jerome Kern, Richard Rodgers, Oscar Hammerstein II, Cole Porter, Elton John, Bernie Taupin, Johnny Horton, Don Williams, Bob McDill, Wayland Holyfield, Ricky Skaggs, Rick Springfield and many others.
