Who is Dean Strausbaugh?
Judge Dean Strausbaugh was an Ohio jurist who served as a judge of the Ohio Court of Claims. He died on 18 March 2010 at the age of 92.
Strausbaugh earned a bachelor's degree from Duke University in 1940. He earned his law degree in 1948 from the University of Michigan.
From 1954 to 1955, Strausbaugh worked as an assistant city attorney in Columbus, Ohio. He was elected to the Franklin County, Ohio, Municipal Court and served there as a judge from 1955 to 1968. He was then elected to the Ohio District Court of Appeal, 10th District, where he served as an appellate judge from 1969 to 1991, after which he retired.
During his retirement Strausbaugh served on the Ohio Court of Claims by assignment.
