He was born on 20th June 1951 in Jodhpur to Shri Bharat Singh Shekhawat. He is MLA from Srimadhopur. He has been a member of the 7th, 10th, 11th, 13th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. He was the state minister with independent charge during 1998-2003, in Ashok Gehlot's Government.
