Who was Diana of Foix?
Charlotte Diane de Foix-Candale became the Comtesse of Gurson after her marriage in 1579 with Louis de Foix, who fell in the Battle of Montraveau on July 29, 1587. Michel de Montaigne dedicated the second of his Essais to her.
