Who is Dickson Matorwa?
Dickson Matorwa is a Zimbabwean sculptor.
First born in a family of five, Matorwa was the son of a bushman painter and author. He began working with wood, clay, paper, and found objects from an early age. In 1991 he began working with stone, making his first sculpture in the medium in 1992. From the death of his parents in 1999 he has also looked after the rest of his family.
