Who was Didier de Saint-Jaille?
Fra' Didier de Saint-Jaille was elected as the 46th Grand Master of the Order of Malta in 1535, but died before he arrived in Malta in 1536. He and Ferdinand von Hompesch zu Bolheim are the only Grandmasters of Malta who did not die and were not buried in Malta. Both Didier de Saint-Jaille and Hompesch are buried in Montpellier in France.
