Who is Dilip Sapkota?

Dilip Sapkota is a Nepalese politician, belonging to the Nepali Congress. He contested both the 1999 legislative election and the 1994 legislative election in the Morang-4 constituency. Both times he came in second place, losing to CPN candidate Harka Man Tamang.

Sapkota was named Secretary Nepali Congress Eastern Coordination Committee by Girija Prasad Koirala in 2001. He was then district vice-president and national convention member of the party. Later he became acting district president of the party.
