Who is Dora Sánchez?
María Dora "Anahí" Sánchez is a former Argentine Senator for Corrientes Province. She is a member of the Argentine Radical Civic Union and has led the local party organization at Mercedes since 1999.
Sánchez worked as a teacher in Mercedes, Corrientes from 1975. She served as secretary to the municipal council of Mercedes between 1989 and 1991 before being elected as a councillor herself in 1991 for the UCR. From 1995 until her election as Senator in 2003, she served as Director of Culture for Mercedes. Her term as Senator expired on December 10, 2009.
