Who was Douglas Cummings?

Douglas Cummings was a cellist from the United Kingdom. He was soloist and principal cellist of the London Symphony Orchestra, where he performed for 24 years, as well as being a member of its Board of Directors. He was a founder member of the London Virtuosi Chamber Ensemble.

He is represented on the 2004 album The British Cello Phenomenon. He also performed and recorded with the Lindsay String Quartet.
