Edwin Alexander Smith is a former American football defensive end for the Denver Broncos. His son Alex formerly played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and was traded to the New England Patriots on April 30, 2009 before being released during final roster cuts on September 5, 2009, and was sequentially signed as a free agent by the Philadelphia Eagles on September 8, 2009.
