Who is Eddie Dibbs?
Eddie Dibbs is a retired American tennis player also nicknamed "Fast Eddie". He attained a career-high singles ranking of World No. 5 in July 1978.
Eddie Dibbs presently holds the record number of ATP tour wins for a player who never reached a Grand Slam final. He lost to Vilas in 1975 at Roland Garros, and to Panatta in 1976, also at Roland Garros. His most significant victory is defeating Jimmy Connors at London on carpet, 1-6 6-1 7-5.
