Who is Eddie Ifft?

It’s safe to say that Eddie Ifft is one of the most traveled comedians in show business. This year alone, he has headlined not only all over the United States and the United Kingdom, but also in 15 other countries, including South Africa, Australia, China, and the United Arab Emirates. His travels were chronicled for an upcoming feature length, documentary film entitled America the Punchline. It all started for Ifft while working at his father’s insurance firm. One night after work, Ifft tried his hand at an open mic night at a local comedy club. The next day, he was either fired from his father’s firm or quit to pursue his new career, depending on who you ask. Recently, Ifft was one of the five finalists in the MySpace and Sierra Mist Stand Up or Sit Down Comedy Challenge. The finals were aired on TBS, and the winner was chosen on HBO’s Comic Relief.

Ifft has now appeared on NBC’s hit show Last Comic Standing season two, Thank God You're Here, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, BET's Comicview, NBC’s Late Friday, VH1’s Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Comics Unleashed, Chelsea Lately, and has performed with Dave Chappelle, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, and Robin Williams. Ifft has also hosted Shark Week. He has spent a season as the ABC college football guy, has earned a job as man-on-the-street on the Queen Latifah Show, and was co-host of a sports radio show on New York’s legendary WNEW. He hosted a pilot for Comedy Central entitled Strap-On and also had a role in a Stephen King film. He released his second CD, Jokes That Make My Friends Laugh, in early 2007, after the success of his first CD, I Learned the Hard Way. He also recently taped a DVD in front of a sold-out crowd at the Sydney Opera House in Australia.

Be on the lookout for his podcast called Wingmen that he co-hosts with comedian Bryan Callen, and his own comedy special on Comedy Central.
