Who is Eddie McGoldrick?
Edward John Paul "Eddie" McGoldrick is a former professional footballer who played as a winger and central midfielder from 1981 until 2000. He is currently youth team manager of League Two side Northampton Town.
He played in the Premier League for Arsenal and Crystal Palace, as well as playing in the Football League for Manchester City, Northampton Town and Stockport County as well as playing in non-league for Kettering Town, Nuneaton Town and Corby Town.
Despite being born in London, he was also capped at international level for the Republic of Ireland on 15 occasions due to his Irish ancestry; he was a member of Ireland's 1994 World Cup squad though he did not play in the tournament.
