Who is Edgar Holmes?
Edgar "Eddie" Holmes was a rugby union footballer of the 1890s, and referee, playing at representative level for England, and Yorkshire, and at club level for Manningham F.C., as a Forward, e.g. Front row, Lock, or Back row. Prior to Tuesday 27 August 1895, Manningham was a rugby union club, it then became a rugby league club, and since Friday 29 May 1903 it has been the association football club Bradford City A.F.C..
