Who is Edgar Muñoz?

Edgar Ramón Muñoz Mata is a boxer from Venezuela, who participated in the 2004 Summer Olympics for his native South American country.

Muñoz won the bronze medal in the same division in 2003 at the Pan American Games in Santo Domingo. He qualified for the Olympic Games by ending up in first place at the 1st AIBA American 2004 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Tijuana, Mexico.

At the Olympics he upset Marijo Šivolija but was stopped in the second round of the Light heavyweight division by Belarus' eventual runner-up Magomed Aripgadjiev.
