Who is Eduard von Falz-Fein?
Baron Eduard Alexandrowitsch von Falz-Fein is a Russian-born businessman, journalist, public figure and sportsman from Liechtenstein. He was a member of Liechtenstein bobsled team and finished 18th in the two-man event at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Also he was a "sports diplomat" who initiated the Olympic movement in Liechtenstein and vice president of Liechtenstein Olympic Committee in the mid-1930s. In 1951 and from 1953 to 1973, he was President of the Liechtenstein Cycling Association. He was born in Gavrilovka, Kherson Oblast. Falz-Fein funded much of the research on the identification of the Romanov family remains. He turned 100 in September 2012.
