Eduard (von) Wölfflin war ein Schweizer klassischer Philologe, der als Dozent und Professor in Zürich (1856–1875), Erlangen (1875–1880) und München (1880–1905) wirkte. Der Textkritiker und Universitätsprofessor initiierte das monumentale Unternehmen Thesaurus Linguae Latinae, ein Wörterbuch der lateinischen Sprache der gesamten Antike, das bis heute in München erstellt wird.
