Who is Edward Glassmeyer?
Edward Glassmeyer is a founding General Partner of Oak
Investment Partners. Ed serves on the board of the following Oak
companies: In the Service Sector; CBORD (campus cashless cards and food
services), Geotrace (seismic analytic services), EquaTerra (outsource
advisory services), and oneGCI (outsourced IT services); IT Equipment
companies Linux Networx (high performance computers) and Xiotech, Inc.
(storage virtualization); Telecom Equipment companies ADVA Optical
Networks (ADV.F) and Cantata Technology, Inc. plus Interactive
Entertainment company Major League Gaming, Inc.
Prior to Oak, Ed was with Citicorp Venture Capital from
1968 to 1970, followed by a tour with the Sprout Capital Group where he
was Managing Partner from 1971 to 1974. Ed graduated from Princeton
University in 1963, served as an officer in the Marine Corps from 1963
to 1966, and received his MBA with distinction from The Amos Tuck
School at Dartmouth College in 1968, where he now serves on the Board
of Overseers. Ed was a founding Director of the National Venture
Capital Association (NVCA), and received their Lifetime Achievement
Award in 2005.
