Who was Ekaterina Vazem?
Ekaterina Ottovna Vazem was a Russian prima ballerina. She became famous for first dancing the role of Nikiya in 1877 Marius Petipa's ballet, La Bayadère. She went on to become the teacher of legendary prima ballerina Anna Pavlova.
