Who was Eleanor Garatti?

Eleanor A. Garatti was an American competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and former world record-holder.

Garatti represented the United States at the 1928 Summer Olympics and 1932 Summer Olympics.

In the 1928 Olympics she won the gold medal in the 4×100 m freestyle relay event and silver medal in the 100 m freestyle event.

Four years later she won the gold medal in the 4×100 m freestyle relay event and bronze medal in the 100 m freestyle event.
