Who is Eleanor Montgomery?

Eleanor Inez Montgomery is a retired female high jumper from the United States, who competed in the 1950s and 1960s for her native country. She is a two-time Olympian, and was affiliated with the Tennessee State University.

Montgomery set her personal best in the women's high jump event on 1969-07-06 at the US National Championships in Dayton, which was an American record at that time. She also competed in the long jump and the heptathlon during her career.
