Who is Elena Khalyavina?

Elena Dostatni; born December 8, 1983 in Kirov, Russia. She is a Russian former ice dancer. Elena began skating in Kirov, Russia when she was six years old with Alexandr Glyhih. They skated together for seven years and competed together through the Senior level. In 1999 Elena moved to Samara to train with Shabalin.With former partner Maxim Shabalin, she is 2001 Russian Junior National Champion, 2001 ISU Junior Grand Prix Final champion and a two-time World Junior medalist. They teamed up in 1999 and split up in 2001–2002 season. Elena began her coaching career in 2002 in her home town in Russia and moved to the United States in 2003.In 2011 Elena Dostatni became the director of Ice Dancing at the Colorado Springs World Arena Ice Hall, one of the most famous figure skating training centers in the world. She married Polish former ice dancer and ISU Technical Specialist Andrzej Dostatni in September 2009. Elena and Andrzej have a son, born in 2011.
