Who is Elissa Benedek?

Elissa P. Benedek M.D., is clinical professor of psychiatry at the University of Michigan Medical Center. She is past president of the American Psychiatric Association. She served as director of research and training at the Center for Forensic Psychiatry in Ann Arbor, Michigan, for 25 years. In 1998, she testified for the U.S. Government in a lawsuit against Playboy Television about signal bleed of adult material on cable television.

Benedek was the primary psychiatry witness for Dr. Eric Fortich during one of the Elizabeth Morgan trials.
