Who is Elizabeth Cosson?
Major General Elizabeth Cosson AM, CSC is a public servant and retired Australian Army officer. Cosson was appointed Head Defence Support Operations and promoted to major general in 2007, becoming the first woman to reach such a rank in the Australian Army. In December 2010, she took the position of General Manager of the Executive Division of the Department of Veterans Affairs. As of 2012, Cosson is Deputy Secretary of the Business Services Group, Department of Immigration and Border Protection.
