Who is Elle Downs?

Elle Downs is a Canadian actress who has appeared in film and television since 1996.

Downs was born in Toronto, Ontario, and is a sixth generation Canadian of African Canadian and Native American descent. Her father was born in Kingston, Jamaica. She won the title of Miss Black Canada and went on to become a popular supporting actress in many Toronto-based films and series.

In 2000, Elle became the box office manager for the Toronto International Film Festival, and has worked in a supervisory position for the Festival since then.
