Emil Botta was a Romanian actor and writer.
He wrote poetry and is one of the writers of the 1960s whose work is recognized as a solid landmark of contemporary Romanian literature.
Botta was a 1930 graduate of the Dramatical Art Conservatory of Bucharest.
He was married for a while to actress Maria Mimi Botta.
He was the younger brother of poet Dan Botta.
