Emil Lemnaru is the current mayor of the city of Oneşti, situated in Bacău County, Romania. He won the 2008 election with 9289 votes. In 2009, human rights organizations protested his blocking the launch of a book called Biometric Dictatorship, which warned against the dangers of data storage on chips.
