Who was Émile Biayenda?
Émile Biayenda was the Archbishop of Brazzaville, Congo from 1971 to 1977, and a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church. He was born in Mpangala, Vinza, where he grew up. He was ordained a priest in 1958, consecrated a bishop in 1970, and elevated to cardinal in 1973.
