Who is Emmanuel Dubourg?
Emmanuel Dubourg is a Quebec politician, chartered accountant and teacher. He was the Member of National Assembly for the riding of Viau from 2007 until 2013. Dubourg is the third black MNA to be a member of the Quebec Liberal Party. Quebec's first black MNA was Jean Alfred, as a member of the Parti Québécois, elected in 1976. On November 25, 2013 he was elected to the Canadian House of Commons in a by-election to become the Liberal Member of Parliament for the Montreal riding of Bourassa.
