Who is Eoin Mullen?

Eoin Mullen is a former Irish football player.

He played for UCD, Home Farm F.C., Shamrock Rovers, Bohemians, Kilkenny City F.C., Dundalk, Drogheda United and Dublin City F.C. during his career in the League of Ireland. He was a tough tackling central defender or midfielder.

He made his League of Ireland debut for UCD against Sligo on the 28th of October 1984 at Belfield Park. He signed for Rovers in 1986 but failed to make a first team appearance and soon signed for Home Farm under Ray Treacy.

He signed back for Rovers, again under Treacy, in 1993. He scored his first goal in the Hoops against Bohs on the 6th of March and his form earned him his first Player of the Month award for that month.

He played twice in the 1994-95 UEFA Cup for Rovers.

In July 1996 he signed for Bohemian F.C. and made his debut against FC Dinamo Minsk in the 1996-97 UEFA Cup

In the scoreless away draw the following week Mullen excelled in his defensive role. He earned his second Player of the Month for August 1996 and went on to play every League game that 1996-97 League of Ireland season.

He played twice against Ferencvárosi TC in the 1997-98 UEFA Cup.

Mullen signed for Kilkenny City A.F.C. for the 2000-01 League of Ireland season
