Who is Eric Gonzales?
Eric co-founded Ujogo in mid-2006 with Steven Sheinfield and Doug
Sheppard. Eric was previously a General Partner at DCM - Doll Capital
Management, an early-stage focused venture capital firm based on the
Silicon Valley, with $1.5B under management. At DCM, he sourced,
invested in and served as a board member for several startup companies
in the communications and internet spaces, in the US and in China.
Before joining DCM in early 2000, Eric held multiple product management
roles for five years at Cisco, where he was an early VoIP evangelist
and launched some of Cisco's most successful networking products. In
addition to Ujogo, Eric currently serves on the boards of Coradiant, a
venture-backed network appliance company, The Presidio Fund, a mutual
fund based in San Francisco, and Walden House, California's leading
non-profit provider of residential substance abuse treatment services.
Eric received a B.A. in Economics from Harvard and an MBA from
Stanford. Eric learned poker at age six and grew up near the infamous
poker rooms in Gardena, California, and he is also a competitive
backgammon player and former chess master.
