Who was Eric McNair?
Donald Eric McNair, was a Major League Baseball shortstop from 1929 to 1942. He played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers, and Chicago White Sox. In his first season as a major league regular, he led the American League in doubles with 47.
McNair died of a heart attack at the age of 39.
