Who is Eric Sanders?

Eric Brian Sanders is a playwright in New York City. At one time an aspiring actor, Sanders moved to New York City in 1999 and studied under acting teacher Wynn Handman, as well as at the Stella Adler Conservatory at New York University.

Sanders is the creator and producer of F*ckplays at the Ohio Theatre and Galapagos Art Space, featuring his play 1.1-1.7; Dread Awakening at the 45th Street Theatre, featuring his play Sleep Mask; and ‘‘Dewey's Nightmare: The Library Play Challenge at the Gene Frankel Theatre, featuring his play Mangina.

Plays include: The ‘fightsical’ Last Life at The Brick Theater and the Ohio Theatre in 2009-2010, directed by Timothy Haskell, starring martial arts legend Taimak Guarriello from the film The Last Dragon; the supernatural horror play The Wendigo at the Medicine Show Theatre, presented by Vagabond Theatre Ensemble and directed by Matthew Hancock; 'Ixomia at the 2007 Crown Point Festival; Faint at the New York International Fringe Festival; Oceanside Parkway with Working Man's Clothes; Oblivia at WMC's Binge Festival 2006, Andhow! Theatre Company's What's In a Theme?, and the 2007 Sam French Festival; Lords of Chaos, pt. 1 at WMC's Binge Festival 2007; The Underground Ocean at Vampire Cowboys' Revamped 2007: Sci-Fi Fairy Tales; The Baby Gap at adobe theatre company's 24-Hour Plays; Skin Maps at Cardboard Box Collaborative's Lock-In Festival 2007.
