Who was Erich Wulff?
Erich Wulff was a Sturmbannführer in the Waffen-SS during World War II, who was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, which was awarded to recognize extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership by Nazi Germany during World War II.
Erich Wulff was born on the 2 August 1910 in Schönkirchen in Holstein. During World War II he volunteered to join the Waffen SS and was posted to the 15th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS. He was killed in Action on the 3 February 1945, during the breakout attempt from encirclement near Flederborn on the Eastern Front. He was awarded a posthumous Knight's Cross in May 1945.
