Who was Ernest Alderwick?
Ernest Alderwick was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman who played for Gloucestershire in 1908. He was born in Bristol and died in Peronne.
Alderwick made his debut against Worcestershire, against whom he scored just seven runs in two innings, while his team went down to a 225-run defeat. Following this performance he would play just one more first-class game, three days after his first, in which he scored a duck in the one and only innings he got a chance to play before the match was abandoned for a draw.
Alderwick was a lower-order batsman for the Gloucestershire team.
