Who is Erwin Contreras?
Erwin Rafael Contreras is a Belizean politician. From 2008 to 2012 he was the Minister of Economic Development, Commerce, Industry and Consumer Protection in Belize. After the 2012 General Elections he was made the Minister of Trade Investment, Private Sector Development and Consumer Protection. He was born in Benque Viejo del Carmen, Cayo District, Belize.
As of June 2011, Contreras is second in line of succession for Prime Minister, behind the Deputy Prime Minister. He belongs to the United Democratic Party.
