Who was Esko Järvinen?
Kauko Esko Järvinen was a Finnish Nordic combined skier, ski jumper, and military patrol competitor who competed in the late 1920s and early 1930s.
He was born in Lathi and died in Helsinki. He was the younger brother of Erkki Järvinen.
At the 1928 Winter Olympics he finished fourth in the Nordic combined competition and 22nd in the ski jumping event. He also competed in the military patrol event which was held as demonstration sport and finished second with the Finnish team.
He won an individual bronze at the 1929 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Zakopane.
