Who is Evin Crowley?

Evin Crowley is a Northern Irish actress. She was born in Bangor, Northern Ireland.

Crowley started acting as an amateur at a small theatre, later to become the Lyric Theatre, in Belfast, before later being chosen to play the role of Moureen in David Lean's Ryan's Daughter. Other notable roles include Biddy Hall in the joint 1975 BBC & ABC televisualisation of the life of Ben Hall and as the scullery maid Emily in Upstairs, Downstairs. She was critically praised for her performance in the final episode where Evin falls for a footman in another home and is rejected by him. Evin's character is scolded by the cook she works under for being remiss in her duties. Despairing of hope, she hangs herself.

She later became a private tutor of mathematics.
