Fannie Heaslip Lea was my husband's maternal Grandmother! She hosted both David & his older brother J.Dirck Stryker in NYC for theater experiences & parades! HIs middle name is Heaslip, an English family name, and his family lived in Garden City for awhile. His father Joe Warren Stryker was a career Naval officer for 35 years, settling in Alexandria, VA. He & the 2 sons were all graduates of the USNaval Academy!
