Who was Fred Green?
Fred Allen Green is a former professional baseball player. He was a pitcher over parts of 5 seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Senators. Green was a member of the 1960 World Series champion Pirates. For his career he compiled a 9–7 record with a 3.48 earned run average and 77 strikeouts in 88 appearances, all but one as a relief pitcher.
Fred Green was born and died in Titusville, New Jersey.
