Who is Geoffrey Girard?

Geoffrey Girard is an award-winning fiction author whose works have appeared in several best-selling anthologies and magazines including the Stoker-nominated Dark Faith anthology and Writers of the Future.

In 2013, Simon and Schuster will publish Girard's techno-thriller novel CAIN'S BLOOD and an accompanying spinoff novel for teens; PROJECT CAIN. Both novels are based on Girard's novella CAIN XP11, which ran as four installments in Apex Digest in 2007.

His previous books include Tales of the Jersey Devil, thirteen original tales based on the legendary Jersey Devil monster, Tales of the Atlantic Pirates, Tales of the Eastern Indians and an adaptation of The Iliad.

Girard was a Writers of the Future winner for his story "Dark Harvest" in 2003, an award founded by L. Ron Hubbard.

Girard graduated from Washington College with a BA in English literature and later earned an MA in creative writing from Miami University. He is currently Department Chair of English at Archbishop Moeller High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. He presents seminars on creative writing at colleges, bookstores and writers' organizations and can also be spotted speaking at various writer/reader conventions. Girard was born in Germany, shaped in New Jersey and currently lives in Ohio.
