Who was Georg Hoffmann?

Georg Hoffmann was a German freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke swimmer and diver who competed in the 1904 Summer Olympics and 1906 Summer Olympics.

In the 1904 Olympics he won a silver medal in the 100 yard backstroke and was fourth in the 440 yard breaststroke. He also won a silver medal in a platform diving event.

Two years later he competed in 100 m freestyle event, but without success and won again a silver medal in a platform diving event.
