Who is George Alberti?

Sir Kurt George Matthew Mayer Alberti is a British doctor who served as National Clinical Director for Emergency Access from September 2002 to March 2009. He has been Professor and Dean of Medicine at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and President of the Royal College of Physicians.

Alberti drove controversial changes to emergency care in the UK, leading to some hospitals losing their status as emergency care centres.
